Your greatest adventure yet

Becca & Janine,

This guide breaks down my approach, recommended collections for your photography coverage, and my thoughts.

Take your time and sit with everything here for a bit. Once you’re ready to move forward, send me an email to tell me what you think. As always, this is a collaborative venture. You can text or email me with any questions!

From the moment we booked Ayla, we knew we had made the best decision.

“She was so communicative from the start, ensuring every detail was planned and that we felt completely at ease throughout the process. She captured every fleeting moment and detail so beautifully that we can’t stop looking at the photos. Ayla didn't just document our day; she brought it to life in the most beautiful way possible.”

Collections and pricing

What’s always included:

Film photography:

You can expect, on average, 25% of your full gallery to be on a mix of 35mm, medium format, and/or polaroid film, or fully on film, upon request.

Elopement planning guidance:

This includes permit guidance, location scouting, and a location guide tailored to your specific elopement plans, plus recommendations on local vendors, restaurants, things to do, etc. I have a free elopement planning guide on my site and include unlimited calls in case you want to brainstorm together.

Full Colorado travel:

Bring me to Boulder or all the way to Telluride – lodging and travel is always included, never a surprise add-on.

Quick turnaround times:

Not everyone you love can attend your elopement day, so I make sure to get you what you need to share with them. I turn sneak peeks around in 48 hours and your full gallery one month after your elopement day.

Your New York celebration

My pricing is the same for elopements and weddings, BUT weddings have a lot more included in the packages. You can view my full wedding price guide here. Once I’ve traveled out there, everything is a sunk cost, which is why I don’t offer hourly packages for weddings – the sweet spot for the full experience is 9-11 hours.

I’ve just raised my prices for 2026, but I’m giving you my 2025 pricing here to get you closer to your budget. Your elopement, if we stay around Idaho Springs and not get all the way out to Crested Butte or so, is basically in my backyard. If you book my full day package for your NY wedding, I’d be willing to gift you two hours of elopement coverage (in plain terms: you’d book the 4 hour package and get 6 hours).

 the Process

  • Because these are two different projects with different liabilities (outdoor safety vs destination travel, etc), I’ll send over one contract for your elopement and one contract for your wedding celebration. $1500 is due from your elopement package with the remainder due one month before your elopement day. $2000 is due from your wedding package, with the remainder due 6 weeks before your wedding day (I typically split this into 3 separate payments).

  • I’ll create a personalized location list for you and be on standby for assistance with any necessary permits. 4 weeks out from your elopement, we’ll create a loose photo timeline and schedule of events.

For your NY celebration, we’ll meet 6 weeks out to make your timeline (together with your coordinator, if you have one). I like to meet midway too, just to connect! The next time you’re in Colorado, I can buy y’all dinner.

  • You get married! I’ll be watching out for every special moment so the two of you can enjoy the day. I deliver a preview gallery within 48 hours of your elopement day and 1 week after your wedding day.

  • One month after your elopement day, your photos and video will be ready in a beautiful gallery attached to a print shop. Your NY celebration is delivered 4-6 weeks after, but I usually aim for the same 1 month mark.

Galleries I think you’ll like

Full day intimate wedding video on digital – we took a very ambient approach with this one!

Lorin & Rachel

These two had a 4 hour sunrise hiking elopement in Aspen. They got ready at the ceremony site, held an emotional ceremony, and then we had about two hours to watch the sun come up over the ridge and enjoy nature.

They also booked an elopement video, and you can get a good feel for the length and style for yours.

This is what I was envisioning for 6 hour coverage:

Relaxed getting ready, a drive up into the mountains for a cooler location, a private ceremony and couples photos before rejoining family for an intimate dinner gathering. Fun fact, their ceremony was on Squaw/Mestaa’ehehe Pass!

Jack + Delaney

For your wedding coverage, this was a destination wedding we did in WTX! Their entire weekend was built around sharing what they loved about WTX with their friends and family. They booked my full weekend package, so we were there for anything significant Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

This is a documentary style video we did on digital. I thought the medium would feel modern compared to analog, but Brice is so thoughtful with his framing and we were able to get SO much more ambience with digital recording time and a digital microphone.

Other videos I’d like to share:

4 hour super 8 coverage with a documentary storytelling voiceover

6 hour micro wedding coverage on camcorder with a visual letter to each other instead of vows

WE TRULY COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR A MORE THOUGHTFUL, TALENTED, AND KIND PERSON TO CAPTURE OUR DAY.

From the first time we spoke, Ayla was so helpful and knowledgeable. It felt like every concern was resolved before we could even begin to get stressed about them. We were able to focus on just enjoying the day and she really helped us embrace the excitement & beauty in a rainy wedding day.

She made everyone feel so comfortable, both hanging with her and in front of the camera. She felt like a close friend celebrating with us more than a hired photographer. Every tiny, intimate moment was caught so beautifully, looking at them makes us feel like we are right back in that moment.
